The equivalent page for summit photos and routes on the England & Wales page is somewhat smaller, but I guess that is to be expected with the mountainous nature of Scotland.
It was interesting to note that during the course of me visiting all of the English Nuttalls I actually visited over 20% of all peaks in England, hence me expanding that page to include all hill types.
Similarly, my focus in Scotland is of course the Munros. For me, that in itself is a long term project and of course the aim is to complete 100% of them. I wonder if I will manage 20% of the Scottish hills. I doubt it, but I have included all the major hill types just to check.
The difference between Scotlands 3000' tops and Englands 2000' summits is more than just the obvious height difference. The distance to the summit is greater, the difference in weather on a similar day between 2000' and 3000' can almost be like a different season, the terrain is more rugged requiring far more scrambling and on occasions rope work and days when you can knock off 7 -10 summits in England is just not going to happen in Scotland. The best you could hope for would be 5 and that would be part of a linear walk relying on either public transport or two vehicles.
Furthermore there is not actually a Nuttall equivalent in Scotland but a close equivalent hill type that is in both lists would be the Sim (600m height, prominence of 30m). So to give a comparative scale of the Scottish task in hand the are 2186 Sims in Scotland, 192 in England with a further 152 in Wales.
If you are interested in routes in a particular area for a specific hill type in Scotland go to the Mountain Areas page. In addition, more routes can be found on the excellent web site - share your adventure

www.hill-bagging.co.uk. Unlike the English Nuttalls I do not expect to visit all of the hills listed (though you never say never) but do show progress in terms of both numbers and percentage.
